I recently listened to TED (Technology, Entertainment & Design) video by Visahl Vaid and thought how
amazing it would be if Bahi Kultar Singh had a TED performance with translation. I’ve had the pleasure of
listening to them in Surrey and San Francisco and think this could be a great method of introduce Kirtan to
some of the most intellectual minds of the world. .

I never knew Bhai Avtar Singh Ji nor had i ever heard their kirtan. By chance I was in Delhi at a Gurdwara
local to my grandparents house in Greenpark where a new lift was being inaugurated. I was absorbed by heart
melting kirtan, which gave me a feeling of pure bliss and ecstasy and has changed my life forever. May God
bless his soul and may God bless Bhai Kultar Singh Ji and Bhai Swaran Singh Ji continue their sewa for the
Sikh Panth.

Its been 2 years since our dearest Pitaji left us. But it seems like yesterday. Wounds are still raw. I can
not talk about him without tears in my eyes. I pray for strength to follow on his foot steps.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Bhai Sahib Ji, or as I adorned him as Pyaree Uncle Ji, what
can we say about him. Words cannot do justice to the legacy that Bhai Sahib lived and has left for all of us
to be inspired to continue. Whenever I would hear him live and be in his presence, it was without a doubt a
reminder of why we have been put on this earth. His gentle and welcoming smile, his immense presence was no
doubt a clear indication of how connected he was with Guru Shabad. I often remember meeting him through his
travels in Canada and how he had a welcoming hug and embrace for everyone. I can only wish that Waheguru
blesses all of us with Gurmat Sangeet so that we may render the Guru's shabad's the way he would
have wanted us to. I pray that Waheguru bless my veer Bhai Kultar
Singh as he continues the legacy.

Bhai Avtar Singh Ragi's first barsi samagam was held at Bangla Sahib Gurudwara on 30th September,
'07. Homage was paid by dignitories, family and friends. Bhai Sahib's contribution towards the
preservation of Gurmat Sangeet was appreciated. At Sydney, the bhog of Sahej Pathh in his honour was held at
his daughter's residence on 6th October,'07. He was remembered by his family and Sadh Sangat
(Congregation).

I have been listening to Bhai Sahib's kirtan for quiet a few years and every time I listen to his kirtan
it gives me a feeling as if the reets have been sung just now.

May his soul rest in peace.

I am devout follower of the kirtan as laid down by Pancham Pita Sri Guru Arjun Dev ji. Guru Sahib have
mentioned the Raag on the top of the SHABAD(the word of Akal)and the Shabad is to be sung in that Raag only
and no other reet or tune whatsoever and Bhai Avtar Singh Ji was one of the few ones who could do it and have
done it his whole life and his legacy lives on in Bhai Kultar Singh,I hope.
